MEMORY limit in R
I sent this to Bioconductor, but I think it is more of an R listserv
question, because of memory allocation trouble
I am having trouble getting the function heatmap() to work on the following
gene expression
> dim(SAMPLES_log)
[1] 12626 20
sample1 sample2...................sample20
gen1
gen2
gen3
....
gen12626
I have converted SAMPLES_log to a numeric matrix using:
as.matrix(SAMPLES_log)
when I use the following command:
heatmap(SAMPLES_log)

Ruby on Rails Impossible Windows
Hello,
Ruby on Rails still, as I think, very poor with MS Windows. I make the
comparison as a PHP user.
In some minutes, I have got Apache running PHP easily. In Ruby On Rails,
there is no such breeze. I expect in the future, Ruby on Rails is going
to offer something like php4apache.dll to make life easier.
As I think, There are three things made PHP popular:
1st, The ease of installation

Problems with Word 200 and Samba 2.2.6
I'm hoping someone has some insight into a problem I'm currenty having,
which is:
No one is able to edit (in place) documents with Word 2000 on a samba
(2.2.6) disk share. A user can open word and save a document to the
share, but when they go to edit the document Word says "Word cannot
complete the save due to a file permission error". From Microsoft KB
Q211632 it appears

[RFC PATCH v2 0/7] stabilize kepler reclocking
Hello,
following up on myself, it was suggested on IRC that I better attach a
dmesg output. Here's the output of a clean boot & echo 0f >
/sys/.../pstate cycle.
I can't spot a message that relates to the reclock action, and there's
only one weird "nouveau 0000:04:00.0: clk: base: 7 MHz, boost: 7 MHz"
message.
On the other hand:
