mremap_anon() failed: Not enough space
...). The index file in question was 255MB. In desperation, and watching the other thread going on about index files, I moved dovecot.index.cache aside and let it be re-created. No further issues have appeared in the log, and the new dovecot.index.cache file (created yesterday) has grown to about 120KB. The spool in question was about 3GB, with about 100K messages in it. I've never seen a dovecot.index.cache file grow so large; does that seem reasonable to you? -Dave -- Dave McGuire, AK4HZ New Kensington, PA

Looking for Volunteers to Moderate the User''s List
The user''s list has controls on the size of posts that it will accept without moderation. This is done so that the entire list isn''t spammed with 800kb trace files or hi-rez diagrams of someone''s network. When a post exceeds the limit (currently 120kb), the moderator receives a message. It is then necessary to log onto the list server and to either approve or reject the post. Often in the case of "shorewall start" failure reports with trace, you can easily determine the problem and just "reject" the request but include the so...

New minimal SMB2 client library !
Ronnie Sahlberg, Samba Team member - has written a new small-footprint SMB2/3 client library. Compiled size is 120KB (yes, that is *KB*, not MB :-). It supports signing, sealing, NTLM authentication (and krb5 with external libraries). It has *no* dependencies (other than the afore-mentioned krb5 if you need it) and is available for checkout and hacking at: git clone git://git.samba.org/libsmb2.git License is L...

First file download from samba dead slow (fwd)
...server download speed is terrible, estimate 10-15 minutes for a ~150MB file. Connectivity between computers ok. iperf says 92Mbit/s, scp (cygwin) copies the same file from the same etch-server in under 10s 7-8MByte/s. Downloading with firefox on windows using file:///server/share/... gets around 120KB/sec, as does copying the file in Windows Explorer. copy in cmd.exe is slow too. Copying is slow both from UNC-paths and from a mapped drive. However, if I in the same session start copying another file, the download speed increases massively and the download takes just ~20s or less. It is even e...

Desired Install in MotorHome
I've got a client who would love to be able to leave an asterisk server running sompelace, and achieve telephone connectivity using an IP phone from within his Motorhome in his words "I want to be able to work from a mountaintop in Glacier National Park" I've done some initial testing, and a SNOM200 SIP phone comes close enough to working that I have not ruled out the idea as

Samba writing speed with big blocks
Hello ! I'm having serious problems with Samba's writing speed (both 2.0.5a from RH 6.1 and 2.0.6 compiled from sources) on a 100Mbit network. If I write a file with block size 65487 or less, then the writing speed is about 7-8 MB/s - a very nice value, my bow to the Samba team :) If I change the block size to 65488 or more, then the writing speed falls down to 3 MB/s, which is not what

Christmas mail
...cute and powerful language has been appealing a part of the NUT Team for long. After having considered, and then discarded the CTypes approach, I was pleased to see David Goncalves' work on a client class and application (NUT-Monitor). These offers currently a quite decent set of features in ~ 120Kb. So I've decided to work on integrating his work in NUT for 2.4.0, to provide our users a portable GUI within the NUT tree. We have already talked with David about completing (rewriting in fact) this application, along with creating a configuration class and application. This last would be usa...

A problem when mount glusterfs via NFS
HI: I run glusterfs with four nodes, 2x2 Distributed-Replicate. I mounted it via fuse and did some test, it was ok. However when I mounted it via nfs, a problem was found: When I copied 200G files to the glusterfs, the glusterfs process in the server node(mounted by client) was killed because of OOM, and all terminals of the client were hung. Trying to test for many times, I got the

Problems with power management
I do not seem to be able to get any where with the power management functions. I have had a look at the xenpm Wiki page, but it hasn''t helped. Its probably something completely obvious, but I can''t see it. I running Xen 3.4.0 on Centos 5.3 x86_64 using the gitco RPMs on an Intel S5000PSL motherboard with 2 x Xeon 5410s. Dom0 is running the latest Centos 5.3 kernel. My xm

We read the docs and tryed to modify the parameter - but there was no success. We don't know, what to do else.
