openssh 3.1p1: ToS trouble
Hi, I noticed that the Type of Service bit for minimize delay is set in client->server packets only. Is this OS-specific or is there another reason for this? Here is a tcpdump of an interactive connection: 217.225.98.212.22 > 134.169.34.19.45870: P 1:49(48) ack 48 win 12008 (DF) 134.169.34.19.45870 > 217.225.98.212.22: P 48:96(48) ack 49 win 25416 (DF) [tos 0x10] 217.225.98.212.22 > 134.169.34.19.45870: P 49:97(48) ack 96 win 12008 (DF) 134.169.34.19.45870 > 217.225.98.212.22: P 96:144(48) ack 49 win 25416 (DF) [tos 0x10] 217.225.98.212.22 > 134.169.34.1...

sapply(Date, is.numeric) (PR#12008)
Full_Name: Robert McGehee Version: 2.7.1 OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (192.223.226.6) R-developers, The results below seem inconsistent. From the documentation for is.numeric, I expect FALSE in both cases. > x <- data.frame(dt=Sys.Date()) > is.numeric(x$dt) [1] FALSE > sapply(x, is.numeric) dt TRUE ## Yet, sapply seems aware of the Date class > sapply(x, class) dt

Simple Sudoku - not minimising/letting me do anything else
I have installed Simple Sudoku (http://www.angusj.com/sudoku/index.php) but I cannot minimise it, nor go to another screen to do something else. If I try, its window gets larger, vertically. I am using wine 20050725 (which is what is packaged for my system at present), on a Debian system running XFree86, with icewm-gnome. Can anyone advise why this program "hogs attention"? -- Phil

Power-outage
I have a CentOS-5.6 remote server in a house in Italy, where there are occasional thunder-storms. There was one yesterday, when the electricity went off 3 times, for a second or so on each occasion. My server, an HP MicroServer, came back (re-booted) on 2 of the 3 occasions, but not on the third. I assume that the problem arises because the machine does not close down properly. (Although it is

Not quite a rails question but can anyone advise?
Hey guys! I''m having a little trouble trying to integrate RMagick with my rails app. In the online terminal (on my host''s server) if I write: export "LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH" before opening the rails console then I can require "RMagick" no problem. Without adding usr/local/lib to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH I get the error message described

IPV4 is nearly depleted, are you ready for IPV6?
Seeing as IPV4 is near it's end of life (http://www.internetnews.com/infra/article.php/3915471/IPv4+Nearing+Final+Days.htm), I'm curios as who know whether everyone is ready for the changeover to IPV6? Is anyone using it in production already, and what are your experiences with it? -- Kind Regards Rudi Ahlers SoftDux Website: http://www.SoftDux.com Technical Blog:
