Polycom 330 not dialing 4 digit extensions beginning with 11xx
I have four Polycom 330 phones connected to an asterisk system. There are other VoIP phones connected too. All of the extensions are four digits beginning with 11. From any of the phones, except the Polycom, picking up the handset to call extension 1103 for example works fine. With the Polycom 330, as I press the second 1 of 1103 it stops taking input and gives me an error. I tried

11 instead of Star
I have several older telephones with rotary dials that I would like to use a working museum pieces. I have everything working well except for those hard-coded codes that start with *. In the traditional phone world, dialing 11 in place of * works fine, ie, someone could dial 1172 in place of *72 and so forth. I'm thinking that a simple entry in extensions.conf ought to do the trick, but

Not Dialing 9
When I set up my Asterisk box at home I didn't want to have to dial 9 to dial off premises, so I gave all my local phones three digit extensions with this format: 1[1,0]*. My thought is that there are no area codes that start with 0 or 1, so if I use those numbers, I can create 20 local extensions that can be dialed with 3 digits, and not have to use a timeout when dialing long distance. If

a little regex help needed
I'm trying to set the callerid(name) to Office for all calls from the main office. exten =>s,n,Set(CALLERID(name)=${IF($[0${CALLERID(num)} = 0${REGEX("21245711*")} ] ? "Office":${CALLERID(name)} )}) The main office callerid's are all 212 457 11xx. But this statement seems to match everything, including callerid(num)="" What I'd expect is a callerid(num) of 2124571123 to generate an if test of [02124571123 == 021245711*] or TRUE. But I've messed up the regex statement somehow. Thanks for any help. sean

Anyone know of complete hardware solution based IDE Raid Controllers?
Years ago Accusys made an IDE raid controller that presented itself as one drive to the BIOS, making the unit completely OS agnostic. Anything like that out there, anymore? Cheers, Brett.
