latest pv_ops dom0 (2.6.29-rc6) crashes / unhandled page fault
...tried with and without pci=nomsi. adding ''noapic'' doesn''t seem to help (I need that with 2.6.29-rc5 to make it work). Any ideas what''s going on? Server buffer question
...ble to network's perturbations. Maybe the right way is to _always_ pre-bufferize and start the music once done (I do only that when the music cuts one), but I think it's more a feature so why not? I'm using ices and a local static playlist to feed icecast2. Same problems at 16kB or 112kB. Please tell me it's gonna be fixed (as it works well with icecast1) or a way to know if the server supports non pre-bufferization on the client. Thanks! Clarifications wanted for ZFS spec
...ring import/scan it was possible to either find all devices or deduce that some (and which) are missing. But due to some drawbacks of that ASCII based implementation they moved to NVLists. I wonder if such required-device interpolation is done now, or there can be as many VDEVs as can fit into the 112KB of NVList size? That''s about all I can ask for teh first 10 pages of spec text ;) Thanks, //Jim Klimov

Comparison Between MP3 and Vorbis
...nd Vorbis still don't mean much. BUT I couldn't resist. I ripped a random track off of one of my CDs and did some comparisons between Vorbis and MP3. I thought you guys might be interested in the results. Info: MP3 encoder was notlame using VBR encoding. Minimum bitrate was 112KB/s. Maximum bitrate was 256 KB/s. OGG encoder was sample_encoder from CVS source. XMMS reports bitrate as 140KB/s.
