Bandwidth shapping device
I have a link to a building (e.g. 10Mb/s) and want to split up the bandwidth to different users. Each user should get e.g., 512kB/s plus 256kB/s dedicated for VoIP. What kind of device can I use for that ? (managing switch ??? which one?) bye Ronald Wiplinger

oom-killer.
Hi all, Just watching for my first time the 'oom-killer' call in a CentOS 4.2 workstation. System was running normally but with high load of nice process, iow, rosetta and seti, others appart, nautilus, etc... i realized that after a night of standby running normally, the next moorning after few manual operations from X-session in local console, it started a massive swapping, this time

Need 3.3v 64 PCI Booard with 800FSB (for ordinary Pentium4, not Xeon)
Just spended ~ hour googling - all boards are based on GC-XX or I750X Chipsets - all for Xeons. There also some boards for Pentium 3. Can someone point me to a board with 64Bit 3.3v PCI for ordinary P4 with 800Mhz FSB. Thanks

Compact SSH?
I am looking for a micro ssh server/client implementation. This implementation would have to be small enough to run on microprocessors. e.g. systems with <512KB memory and ~20Mhz 8bit processors - like a Rabbit or a PIC. I have looked around but have not found anything suitable. Does anyone have a recommendataion? Thanks in advance. Thomas DuBuisson

Brandwidth for making internet calls
My ADSL connection speed is 512Kb up and 128Kb down. When making calls from Asterisk to IAX and back to the Asterisk, the sound is choppy and 20% of voice messages was lost. What is the production bandwidth requirement per internet call. I understand there is no guarantee of QoS but at least a benchmark to follow. -- David Kw...

...used systems that I can get for less than 150USD. I can''t seem to decide if I should splurge and get a 4x box for 25 dollars more than a 2x at a slightly higher clockspeed. 112952-001-B1-06 Proliant 6500 - 4xPIII Xeon500MHz/1MB, 256MB 100738-003-B1-06 Proliant 5500 - 2xPIIIXeon550MHz/512KB, 256MB Any suggestions? I read that domU''s will be able to see multiple processors in a later version of Xen. Should I go for the 4x hoping that feature will be supported with 32bit chips? It seems a lot of development talk I''ve been reading recently is in the 64bit arena. -...
