No action from rsync 2.4.6 on HP-UX 11.0
...have downloaded and installed the HP rsync binaries, version 2.4.6 on both the source and target systems. The directory tree on the source system contains over 58GB of data in 1.3 million objects (including directories, links and files), 1.2 million normal files. The target directory is empty with 110GB free. With sample data sets, with several thousand files and hundreds of MB of data, rsync works. When I go to my production data, rsync chugs away for about an hour and a half and then I get a prompt back. Nothing is transferred between systems. I run rsync in command line mode. Here's what...

Can't replace a faulty disk of raid1
Hello, I had a raid1 btrfs (540GB) on vanilla 3.6.3, a disk failed, and removed it at power off, plugged in a new one, partitioned it (to 110GB, by error), and added it to btrfs. I tried to remove the missing device, and it said "Input/output error" after a while. Next attempts simply gave "Invalid argument". I repartitioned, rebooted the system, and made the partition grow: "btrfs fi resize 3:max /" # btrf...

.lock file issue
I'm currently running Asterisk 10.5.1, compiled from source, and just had someone call saying they couldn't get their voice mail. Looking into the user's voice mail folder, I saw a .lock file. Removing this file, enabled them to get voice mail. Is anybody else seeing this? The system is a new install and has only been running for a week with very little traffic (8 person office).

More Benchmarks, and a question about indexing
Hi, We are thinking of converting to Dovecot to lighten our I/O load. I have done some performace tests comparing UW-IMAP to Dovecot when using mbox format if anyone is interested. They primarily examine the I/O improvements that can be gained from using Dovecot over UW when staying with mbox format: http://whizzo.uoregon.edu/public/src/mailperf/results.html I had too much cached for this set

Future RSYNC enhancement/improvement suggestions
Hello, Recently while working with rsync as the way to mirror large (several GB) archive on a regular basis, I came across several problems, and also got the ideas about their possible solutions - please could you investigate & consider implementing the features, described below, to future RSYNC releases ? - when the checksumming (consider very large archive, several GB) stage of rsync

OS: Linux 2.4.2, stock redhat 7.1 kernel. Samba: 2.0.8-1.7.1, either downloaded from samba.org or what came with redhat, installed via RPM. I tested 2.2-HEAD, but it was not stable.
