Reccomendation for reliable handsets
Hi there I'm sure this question has been raised a number of times before, but unfortunately I do not have direct access to the archives I am about to roll out Asterisk to a few companies and would like to hear your experiences about the various handsets/phones that are Asterisk compatible I am primarily looking for 2 options, the first being a cheaper model which will provide reliability

I''ve got this kind of error message : Feb 23 14:26:19 gestor1 kernel: printk: 38 messages suppressed. Feb 23 14:26:19 gestor1 kernel: ip_conntrack: table full, dropping packet. my domUs have a slow network rate for outside networks.
Hi, I have some network problems with my DomUs (etch) on a debian etch running xen 3.0.3. The domain0 is a DL360 G5 with tg3 network card If i download something from outside my dom0 box to a domU, i get this network rate: ~865kbits ... and it must be ~ 10Mbits, i think. Doing some tests with iperf i get this: [ 4] local outside_server port 5001 connected with _domU_ port 54889 [ 4] 0.0-10.3 sec 4.51 MBytes 3.67 Mbits/sec outside_server is in other network, i mean other switch. Network rate between domUs is fine. Also i have a Xen 3.2 running on...

Samba and Window XP write performance
I did some testing using samba-3.0.0 as a server and two identical clients one Running W2K and other running Win XP pro. If I write a big file using the W2K client, I'm getting about 25 Mbytes/sec but if I run the same testing using the Win XP Pro, this client only is able to get 12.5 Mbytes/sec. There is a problem between XP and samba?

htb overrate with 2.6.16
...its 0 requeues 0) rate 3484Kbit 45pps backlog 0b 0p requeues 0 lended: 20627 borrowed: 0 giants: 30926 tokens: -9768 ctokens: -9768 As you can see the correctly calculated rate is way above the ceiling and I''ve seen it go as fast as this certain type of traffic can go (something like 8-10Mbits), i.e. the class doesn''t seem to shape at all. No drops or overlimits. FWIW the cbq in 2.6.10 kernel was working fine as well until the controller changed from a 100Mbit it a Gbit one and thats why I switched to htb. The cbq in 2.6.16 is still similarly broken (in a different than htb way...

Re: 2.4.20 htb3 oops
Hi everyone, I am having problems with "oopses" since I introduced HTB on my company''s PC-based routers. It seems that only routers with high network load are affected. The average network load on the two most problematic routers are 10Mbps in/out and 2.5Mbps in/out. The other machines with less than 1Mbps average traffic seems unaffected. We have been getting oopses on

Intelligent P2P detection
Probably, I''m not the first one who needs solve problem with p2p. Because, large part of my traffic is eaten by p2p software like KazAA, e-mule, Direct Connect etc, I''m looking for the way of detection of such traffic and marking it. However simple way with for instance 1214 port for KazAA doesn''t work because this software uses floating port technology. This traffic can

Multiple ISP + traffic shapping = poor download speed
Hello, Thanks for the great Shorewall which has replaced my hard to maintain home-made scripts. First, what works. Our local network is 10.48.X.X with multiple vlan, each on a dedicated interface. We use Shorewall 4.4.11 from Debian Squeeze. We have a 2 ISP: - isp1 : an optical fiber provider with 10 Mbps. - isp2 : a DSL provider with 15Mbits/1Mbits. We use isp2 as the default outgoing
