Installation of Rails without ''gem install rails''
I am wondering if anyone has any procedural documentation for installing and using Rails from the standalone packages rather then via ''gem install''. It seems there should be some steps outside of simply unpacking the tar ball in order to integate it with your Ruby installation. Seems every bit of installation documentation I can find has ''gem install

ext3+parisc kernel
...n I cat /proc/filesystems/ (everything in /proc is a directory even though it's not) I get ext3 to come up... So it kinda works. Gonna get the newest e2fsprogs and see if I can make a journal and have this broken kernel mount / as ext3. --timball -- GPG key available on pgpkeys.mit.edu pub 1024R/CFF85605 1999-06-10 Timothy L. [LLVMdev] Help with definition of subregisters; spill, rematerialization and implicit uses
Hi, I have a problem regarding sub-register definitions and LiveIntervals on our target. When a subregister is defined, other parts of the register are always left untouched - they are neither read or def:ed. It however seems that Codegen treats subregister definitions as somehow clobbering the whole register. The SSA-code looks like this after isel: (Reg0 and Reg1 are 16bit registers. Reg2,

[LLVMdev] RegisterCoalescing Pass seems to ignore part of CFG.
Hi, I don't know if my llvm ir code is faulty, or if I spot a bug in the RegisterCoalescing Pass, so I'm posting my issue on the ML. Shader and print-before-all dump are given below. The interessing part is the vreg6/vreg48 reduction : before RegCoalescing, the machine code is : // BEFORE LOOP ... Some COPYs.... 400B%vreg47<def> = COPY %vreg2<kill>; R600_Reg32:%vreg47,%vreg2
