Problem with socket_process: Call rejected by 127.0.0.1: Busy
Hi I am not sure why this is happening or whether it has anything to do with my iaxmodem setup. When receiving a fax via iaxmodem, I got an error message saying *chan_iax2.c:7542 socket_process: Call rejected by 127.0.0.1: Busy*

win95 + linux oplock error, even with kernel oplocks = no.
Hi all, I've posted a similar message a few weeks ago. I had the 'oplock' problem. I run a linux server with samba (specification below). I get a reply who told me to disable kernel oplocks and oplocks. I did exactly what he told me to do. I hoped it worked... but it did not... From there one i started reading in the archives and followed the 'lock' discussions in this list.

changing partition priority on install
...3ware cards: 9550SX 12 port, and a 8006 2 port, both SATA. I want the 8006 board to be /dev/sda, and the 9550 to be /dev/sdb. My plan is to install the os on /dev/sda (8006), and data on /dev/sdb (9550). Unfortunately, the 9550 comes up as /dev/sda. The 8006 is installed in slot 3, which is a 100Mhz slot. The 9550 is installed in Slot 4, which is a 133Mhz slot. I really don't want to put the 9550 in the 100Mhz slot. I'm not even sure it would make a difference... I would also prefer to not have grub reside on /dev/sda, while the os is on /dev/sdb. I have tried to change the boo...

Dell server for asterisk question!
I am planning to buy Dell 2650 server with dual Xeon processors. And I would like to buy two TE410P cards for PCI with 3,3v. This is on Dell site about PCI slots for Dell 2650 server: 3 PCI-X (1x64-bit/133MHz, and 2x64-bit/100MHz) Does that mean I will be able to buy two TE410P cards ? Or I need to buy two TE405P cards ? Thanks for help. bartek

Really Get 96 Simul Calls?
...ealworld specs on somebodys machine that will work with the Digium 4-port T1/PRI card and that will support 96 simultaneous calls. Dell is soon to release the PowerEdge 1850: 2U, Dual 3.6Ghz Xenon, 1Gb DDR2 RAM, Dual 36GB Ultra320 SCSI RAID, Hot swap Powersupply, one 64bit 133Mhz PCI and one 64bit 100Mhz PCI for about $3,000. Tack on a 4 port Digium card and you have a Cisco AS5300 that can do FAR MORE for $15,000 less. I just need to know if this machine can support 96 simul calls in all kinds of configurations: Ex 1: 48 calls come into PRIs 1&2 and I send them back out PRIs 3&4. Ex 2:...

PCI32 and PCI-X compatibility
Hi, this is my 1st message, I'm writing to ask if anyone knows if a PCI32 card like the TDM400P (quad analog) or the B410P (quad BRI) is working on a PCI-X bus, at 100MHz or 133 MHz. I'm really stuck with this, since I found a partial "yes" on this mailing list but my supplier says "no"! Thanks, Marco

HP DL585 - CentOS4.5 - kix woes
...be able to kix any of these boxes. I have been most recently trying on a dl585 and the issue appears to be that the kix kernel does not detect any nic. Its strange as the box can be installed using iso's and the nic appears as eth0: Broadcom NetXtreme II BCM5706 1000Base-T (A2) PCI-X 64-bit 100MHz found at mem fa000000, IRQ 209, node addr 001a4bedcf1c bnx2: eth0: using MSI which seems a pretty standard nic to me - has anyone been able to kix new hp kit recently using 4.5 ?? thanks

Old linuxbox as BwM
Hello, I''m playing with tc, htb, and other QoS features on an old pc I have. The PC runs, by now, a shrinked version of Debian Woody, with patched versions of kernel 2.4.18 and iproute in order to support HTB. What i''m wondering is if with a AMD 100Mhz (stealed from a museum ;-), 16Mbps RAM i can do bandwidth management to 20 network hosts, which connect wirelessly (not all, but mostly of these) sharing a wireless link of 800 kbps (kbit in tc grammar) and i''m simulating an external interfase of 256 kbps. The ASCII art is as follows:...

Vorbis for non audio stream
Hi all! I would like to use Ogg-Vorbis to encode a non audio waveform. My waveform is in .wav format, on 16 bit mono, with frequency range from 100Hz to 100MHz. It's about 100MB lenght. I need to compact it with lossy for net transfer. Is there something like this, already done, that can help me ?? How can I measure the distortion that Vorbis introduce? I'm sorry for my bad english. Thanks, Melvi

A distro around Shorewall
Hi all, Currently at work we use a commercial product called "Gnatbox", which, I believe, is a BSD derivative running on a floppy disk. They have a pretty UI and all, but I''d feel much safer/happier with a GNU/Linux box and Shorewall doing the same thing. In fact, I''m doing something very close to this at home using Openwrt and Shorewall on my WRT54G router, but I

Decoder performance
Hi all, I'm thinking of using Speex for an embedded project. I would only need the decode part. My question is what percentage of the CPU is used on an optimized (assembly will be done) SH4 or ARM7 or ARM9 speex decoder running at 100Mhz. Thanks, Bolt __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Jazz up your holiday email with celebrity designs. Learn more. http://celebrity.mail.yahoo.com

Need Help for SpeeX codec Optimization
Hi all, We have come across a problem to run the SpeeX codec in our system: the codec process is too slow. We are running this codec process on ARM7 DSPs, which frequency is about 100MHz-300MHz. I wonder if some one can share some experience or codes to us to help us with the optimization. Thanks a lot! Tyan Transport GX28 with TDM400
I want to know if I buy a Tyan Transport GX28 (B2881) will it work with a TDM400 card? As the expansion slots are only (2) 64-bit 133/100MHz PCI-X. I never tried PCI 2.2 compliant card in a PCI-X slot so I don't know if it can even fit in the slot and if it does will it be seen? Thanks Martin Roy
