Resize ocfs....?
I've tried several times to resize one of my ocfs volumes[see emcpowere1 below]
I'm on the latest [prod] version of ocfs/ocfs-tools as of 3pm EST on 18JUL04.
Per instructions...
Take down db, unmount all ocfs drives, use ' tuneocfs -F -S 100G /dev/emcpowere1 '
Supposedly this should work, but I get get....
The size specified, 100G, is larger than the device size, 59G.
Aborting.
What am I doing wrong?

I used Windows Server 2012r2 "Optimize" (defrag) and then reduced the C: partition to about 67G in Disk Administrator leaving the remaining 33G as unallocated. Afterward I tried a web...

That's qemu, not qemu-img.

[virt-builder] XFS metadata corruption in Fedora 23 template images (on resize)
Running this:
$ virt-builder fedora-23 -o vm1.qcow2 --format qcow2 \

And, importing vm1.qcow2 into libvirt results in these "corrupted

Expanding a virtual block device
Hi list.
I''m running Xen 4.0.1 on Debian.
I''m trying to live resize a block device :
- I have a arbitrary block device in my dom0 (/dev/mapper/vm-vol42).
- I start a PV domain with that device as a disk (disk =
[''phy:/dev/mapper/vm-vol42,xvda,w'']).
- I resize vm-vol42 in the dom0 (adding size only)
- the dom0 sees the device''s new size.

scrub on snv-b107
scrub completed after 1h9m with 0 errors on Tue Feb 17 12:09:31 2009
This is about twice as slow as the same srub on a solaris 10 box with a
mirrored zfs root pool. Has scrub become that much slower? And if so,
why?

glusterfs brick server use too high memory
...I have a glusterfs cluster:
Nodes: 4
System: Centos7.1
Glusterfs: 3.8.9
Each Node:
CPU: 48 core
Mem: 128GB
Disk: 1*4T
There is one Distributed Replicated volume. There are ~160 k8s pods as clients connecting to glusterfs. But, the memory of glusterfsd process is too high, gradually increase to 100G every node.
Then, I reboot the glusterfsd process. But the memory increase during approximate a week.
How can I debug the problem?
Thanks.

Re-sizing qcow2 images
Hello All,
I am using Centos 6.3 with libvirt 0.910 and qemu-kvm 0.12
I had to resize a qcow2 disk, and came across several issues;
I used this command to resize the image:
sudo -i /usr/bin/qemu-img /var/lib/libvirt/images/mydisk.img resize
+100G . The disk is attached using virtio.
I then tried to use parted from within the guest to resize the partition.
The first problem was that the guest os did not see the increase disk size.
Is there something that I need to do, to force the guest to see the
higher disk size ?
I got round this by re...

Sorry for my ignorance.
When I create xen virtual machines on lvm I need to create a

relative frequencies are in a second column called mass. Both size and mass
are continuous ratio data to all intents and purposes. The data actually
represents sieving of sand where $size is sieve aperture and where $mass is
the amount remaining on the sieve.
So if I sieve 100g of sand through increasingly fine sieves nothing remains
on the coarsest sieve say 2500 microns. Between 2000 and 2500 microns there
is 0.2g remining on the 2000micron sieve etc. as per the data supplied.
