Merlin Legend
I have a legacy pbx that I know nothing about. The PBX is a merlin legend system (now owned by avaya). I have found information on the list that I can use a 100D T1 card to bridge the PBX to an asterisk system. We are looking to head this route as well as replacing are AUDIX VM system with Asterisk. Has anyone done this that wouldn't mind sharing some of the merlin specific setup? Regards, Sean Cook scook@kinex.net -------------- next part -...

asterisk T100P to Merlin Legend
Management just approved purchase of a Digium T100P and a T1 card for our Merlin Legend Switch. I will appreciate comments from anyone performing this installation before: - Which T1 card did you use in the Merlin Legend? - Did you require any special interface? (CSU/DSU, etc) - Any items to watch during installation. Also we will need to remove one of our old analog Trunk cards to accomodate

src/net/resolver.c patches for better IPv6 resolution
...'s true that (some) Linux doesn't have getipnodebyname() then a different solution might be needed. The results when built with -DHAVE_IPV6=1 -DHAVE_GETIPNODEBYNAME=1 added to the Makefile DEFS on my FreeBSD 4.x: I got 172.27.72.27, when looking up stable.netscum.dyndns.dk. I got 2002:50da:100d:0:250:daff:fe21:edca, when looking up ipv6.netscum.dyndns.d k. I got 2002:50da:100d:0:250:daff:fe21:edca, when looking up netscum.dyndns.dk. I got ::1, when looking up localhost. I got news-feed02.inet.tele.dk, when looking up 193.162.153.122. I got swi6netCE1-A2-0-1.switch.ch, when looking up 2001...

Merlin Legend integration not routing calls back to PSTN.
Folks, I have a Merlin Legend R7 V10.0 with a 2 100D cards. I have 1 card in slot 4 going to CenturyTel, and the card in slot 10 going to a flip cable to a TE110P card in a Asterisk 1.6.x box. I have routing setup on the Merlin to send a block of numbers to the Asterisk. Currently the PSTN can dial the Asterisk Extensions. The Asterisk can dial Me...

Asterisk & Avaya Legend
...ng $1000 a month. Once we start seeing those savings, we can start putting that into a much better server and IP Phones. In our case, the savings are significant. I just have to get over the initial learning curve. I'm also assuming that I will have to configure the DS1 (it's actually a 100D) board on the Legend. My sales rep with the PRI provider had mentioned being able to do the cutover in a day, but I'm thinking I would rather get the PRI installed, and then maybe the next week have the numbers ported. THat would give me time to get everything up and running with a couple of n...

Hardware Requirement & Setup
Dear All, We are currently using a MESEI 100D PABX system which we are currently leasing from a local telco for 60 months. Part of the restrictions in the lease is that we are not allowed to install a PSTN line from another telco. We would like to maximize the use of third-party PSTN lines by installing them to the PBX system but the rest...
