100's of emails arriving from last year
Anyone like to comment on why I'm receiving this evening 100's of emails from last July, and August that were posted to the wine-users list. All a bit weird. Nigel.

audio levels via sip
I see from reading the mailing list theres a way to set audio levels on the zap channels but I'm wondering if there's a way to set audio levels on either sip or iax channels. I'm using some BT-100's and people are saying the audio levels are a little low and I would like to bring them up a bit.

[Bug 3099] Please parallelize filesystem scan
...tionally all directory scanning should be made parallel. Modern file systems perform best when request queues are kept full. The current mode of rsync scanning directories does nothing to take advantage of this. I currently use scripts to split a couple dozen or so rsync jobs in to literally 100's of jobs. This reduces execution time from what would be days to a couple hours every night. There are lots of scripts like this appearing on the net because the current state of rsync is inadequate. This ticket could reasonably combined with 5124. -- You are receiving this mail becau...

Management GUI
Hi All Can anyone suggest a comprehensive GUI manager for Asterisk. It doesn't matter if it is open source or commercial. We currently have 100's of users currently managed via the real time database. Groups of users belong to their own contexts. We would like a system that is able to integrate with our current real time setup and then allow us the ability to customise every feature of a user account from an interface as well as a...

Re: domain: how long is new xml in saved file
...in place > so that we don't accidentally overwrite the QEMU section. BTW, does anyone recall why we were so restrictive on the XML length in the first place ? I looked at history and didn't see why we did it this way. It occurrs to me that given guest typical RAM sizes measuring many 100's of MB, we could easily make the header section have 1 MB of padding, and thus allow essentially arbitrary XML updates without worry about hitting a size limit. > But, what you can do is provide the changed XML not in > virDomainSaveImageDefineXML() but provide it to virDomainRestoreFla...

[Bug 3099] Please parallelize filesystem scan
...ads. These systems have elaborate predictive read ahead caches and perform best when multiple threads hit them. > >Using the test case of a single server with a simple file system such as ext3/4, or xfs, no gains will be seen in multithreading rsync. Use an enterprise file system with 100's of TBs and the more threads you use the faster you will go. Metadata and data on these systems ends up across 100's of disks. Single threads end up severely bound by latency. This is why multi-threading should be optional. It doesn't help everyone. > >For example, one...

Softswitch
Pardon my ignorance, but I was hoping someone could clear up something for me. - For a few POTS lines, digium has a single port card for that, or a T1 card to a channel bank. - For 10 or more lines, digium has a T1 or E1 card for that too based on PRI channels - For 100's to 1000's of lines, I suspect a soft-switch is in order??? A traditional phone company will sell: - POTS lines for small quantities - PRI channels over one or more T1 lines - ??? for 100's to 1000's of lines??? Unlike PRI channels, we are all able to get better than 64k using a...

App Question.
...I need to be able to create the basic app, and then to test the app, and then to run the app in a production environment. I need to be able to schedule when the app is tested/run in the production system, as well as be able to track the status of the test/production app. My overall system will have 100's of these smaller child apps. Has anyone heard of, or have any pointers to any kind of webbased app that I can use (open source) to manage this entire kind of process. I would prefer a web based app, that runs on a LAMP platform to manage this overall process.... Thanks

Unexpected results with DOS COPY command and Samba 3.0.2
...with a wildcard for a single file creates an incomplete file (e.g. 'copy G:\SMBNET\large?.exe file7.exe' will create a 6K file even though the source is 3M - using xcopy or the full path name works fine) I realize COPY in a DOS .BAT is not the greatest way to move around data, but we have 100's of old DOS batch files that are still using copy commands that I'd hate to mess with. Any suggestions on how to fix this? josh

Parametrized object name in Save statement
...m various modeling on the structure and save the output and plot of the model. In this example i am using a rpart decision tree. The only problem i am having is integrating the parameter into the internal object name when tying to save it. Solving this one porblem will help me start blasting though 100's of models and saving their output for later use. I would call the script from command line as Rscript file_name.R argument for this example Rscript rpart_code.R Kyphosis #/bin/R args <- commandArgs(TRUE) # Read the argument require(rpart, quietly = TRUE) #for this example lets use...

Eventualy ill commit my icecast admin #!/bin/bash source to cvs.casterclub.com for everyone else to use, just needs some final touches. <p><p>Dave St John Mediacast1 Administration ----- Original Message ---...

icecast-2.3.2-kh17 versus icecast-2.3.2
Hi, I've been using icecast-2.3.1 for some time now and it is really working well for me, solid as a rock (no crashes) and running 100's of streams and 1000's of listeners, but in order to support authentication and have easier configuration I want to start using the url authentication (esp. the stream_auth) and mount-name wildcards that are supported by icecast-2.3.2-kh17. I am unsure about the stability of iceca...

Out of G.729 Decoder Licenses!
...d channels are currently in use when monitor is disabled, on the same situations I get: 1/1 encoders/decoders of 2 licensed channels are currently in use 1. why is it using the g729 for the monitoring while it's on the server itself? 2. why is it using the g729 for placing a call through the x100 (zap device) that is on the computer?
