[PATCH] fentonups patch to make it work with some powercom ups's
Hi list here is the patch to make fentonups recognize some PowerCOM's UPS's, and to setup terminal lines for them (at least for SMK-1500a) as powercom's original upsmon do. fentonups -x powercom works correctly with SMK-1500a (it screamed ''Communications with UPS lost - check cabling' or 'Short read during UPS id sequence' without this patch). Howto enlarge fonts size in R- Graphics?
Hi, I am fairly new to GNU R ! At the moment I am doing an intensive learning on the basics of GNU R-1.91, especially graphics like plots and alike, by reading the introductory docs! Well, except some occasional glitches (X11 output errors) everything seems to be fine, thanks to developers for this fine program! But there is a slight problem with the size of fonts in graphics, i.e. its very

Using subset to filter data table
I am having difficulty understanding how I would constrain a data set by filtering out 'records' based on certain criteria. Using SQL I could query using 'select * from my.data where LithClass in ('sand', 'clay')' or some such. Using subset, there seem to be ghosts left behind (that is, all of the LithClass *.Labels* remain after subset) > dput(tcc)

lines, ecdf and colors
Hi. I'm trying to plot two ecdf's on the same graph using two different colors. I can plot using the same color, but it doesn't work when I change colors? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help. x <- c(0.80, 0.83, 1.89, 1.04, 1.45, 1.38, 1.91, 1.64, 0.73, 1.46) y <- c(1.15, 0.88, 0.90, 0.74, 1.21) plot(ecdf(x)) # it works without col='blue', but doesn't

stopping a function
I've looked for this information in all the R help sources I could find and found nothing. Is it possible to use some function key to stop the execution of some R command without ending the R session (Windows, R 1.91)? I've several times started functions that for various reasons are not executing properly and it would be nice to stop them without killing the R session. I've been

Hoaglin Outlier Method
I am a new user of R so please bear with me. I have reviewed some R books, FAQs and such but the volume of material is great. I am in the process of porting my current SAS and SVS Script code to Lotus Approach, R and WordPerfect. My question is, can you help me determine the best R method to implement the Hoaglin Outlier Method? It is used in the Appendix A and B of the fo llowing link.

modifying code in contributed libraries - changes from versions 1.* to 2.*
Having finally updated from R 1.91 to R 2.2.0 with my installation of a new computer, I discovered that something has changed drastically about the way code for contributed packages is stored when installed in a local version of R. In the 1.* versions it was easy for me to go in and modify some of the code for a contributed package by using a text editor to change the script files (these

fentonups driver patch for Effekta MHD3000 UPS
Hi ups-devel, As I looked throw www.networkupstools.org site, haven't found any pointers where to send patches, so I hope this is the right place. (Please let me know weather this is the right place.) The patch contains a minor change in the logic of the driver, our Effekta MHD 3000 UPS continuously writes status data to the serial port, so one has to send a CR character and empty the
