raid 10 not in consistent state?
hi everyone
I've just configured a simple raid10 on a Dell system, but
one thing is puzzling to me.
I'm seeing this below and I wonder why? There: Consist = No

extract values
Hello all!
I have a problem to extract values greater that for example 1820.
I try this code: x[x[,1]>1820,]->x1
Please help me!
Thank you!
The data structure is:
structure(c(2.576, 1.728, 3.434, 2.187, 1.928, 1.886, 1.2425,

svm in e1071 package: polynomial vs linear kernel
I am trying to understand what is the difference between linear and
polynomial kernel:
linear: u'*v
polynomial: (gamma*u'*v + coef0)^degree
It would seem that polynomial kernel with gamma = 1; coef0 = 0 and degree
= 1
should be identical to linear kernel, however it gives me significantly
different results for very simple
data set, with linear kernel

回复: cch() and coxph() for case-cohort
I tried to compare if cch() and coxph() can generate same result for
same case cohort data
Use the standard data in cch(): nwtco
Since in cch contains the cohort size=4028, while ccoh.data size =1154
after selection, but coxph does not contain info of cohort size=4028.
The rough estimate between coxph() and cch() is same, but the lower
and upper CI and P-value are a little different. Can we

calculating mean of list components
I get a list object from an iterative function. I'm trying to figure
out the most efficient way to calculate the mean of one element, across
all components of the overall list.
I've tried
output <- mean (listobject[[1:5]]$element)
to get the mean of "element" in the first five components?
It doesn't like the $. I'm suspect one of the "apply" functions

cch function and time dependent covariates
----- begin included message
In case cohort study, we can fit proportional hazard regression model to
case-cohort data. In R, the function is cch() in Survival package
Now I am working on case cohort analysis with time dependent covariates
using cch() of "Survival" R package. I wonder if cch() provide this utility
or not?
The cch() manual does not say if time dependent covariate is

help for segmented package
Hi,
I am trying to find m breakpoints of a linear regression model. I
used the segmented package. It works fine for small number of
predicators and breakpoints.(3 r.v. 3 points). However, my model has
14 variables it even would not work even for just one breakpoints!.
The error message is always estimated breakpoints are out of range.
Since my problem is time related problem. So I
