I am not understanding the size of the iso
Yep, This is true, If I look at Fedora Gnome for example, which also ships all these(browser, libre, gnome etc), the final DVD version is just about 1.2 GB. That is what surprises me. Re: [libvirt-users] virt-sparsify changing the apparent-size of files
Hello, Thanks for all the information, I think my last remaining question is why the image created with virt-install shows the full apparent size and the image from virt-sparsify does not? (The image testimage1.qcow2 created with default options). As they are both qcow2 I would expect them both to have the same behavior as far as apparent size goes. Or is there an option I am missing in

How to copy snapshots of a VM to the other computer.
Currently, I've tried to move qemu VM image to a new computer. So, I copied VM image files in /var/lib/libvirt/images, VM xml files in /etc/libvirt/qemu, VM snapshot files in /var/lib/libvirt/qemu/snapshot to the same places at the new computer. Everything is OK except snapshot!! When I use "qemu-img info" for the copied VM image, I can see the snapshot list in the result as shown

Newbie would like some planning advice.
My wife and daughter, and to lesser extent myself and my daughters boyfriend would like a communications system which allowed us to talk to each other, both on a one on one basis, but also occassionally in conference. My wife and I live in a house with an internal LAN with each of us with a desktop machine (hers in Windows XP, mine runs Linux) and a Linux server acting as firewall and NAT

puppetmasterd continuously consuming high CPU, with many interrupts
So, I have a server at home that has four VMs running inside it. All are managed via puppet. The physical host runs puppetmasterd. I don''t recall noticing this before, but puppetmasterd has decided to be kind of crazy. Here''s the physical host with no puppetmasterd running: top - 11:36:15 up 271 days, 15:16, 1 user, load average: 5.68, 5.50, 6.45 Tasks: 129 total, 1

I spent the afternoon yesterday googling for answers, but had have come up blank still.
