How do I 'merge' a altered subset of a data.frame back into the same data.frame
Hi Step 1: I create a data.frame called iolm. Step 2: I create a conditional subset i_wtr. Step 3: In this subset I add 0.3 to all values in the IOLM_AST column. Step 4: Now I am looking for the best way to Œmerge¹ the altered subset back into the original iolm data.frame ## STEP 1 >iolm ID IOLM_AST IOLM_AXIS 1 1 1.15 165.33 2 2 1.20 79.00 3 3 0.40

[patch] Still a problem with cleanup.c
Hello, There is still a problem with the _exit_cleanup() function in cleanup.c despite the patch that was put in last week that prevented recursion. It turns out that sometimes multiple calls in close sequence are done and this causes rsync to spin out of control instead of exiting. This bug was found by Marc Espie and the patch I'm including is his as well. It hasn't been commited

[RFC nbdkit PATCH] utils: Revamp nbdkit_parse_size
The existing implementation admitted that it was not very robust in the face of garbage input; tighten things up by reimplementing the function, and add testsuite coverage to ensure further tweaks do not break things. The testsuite additions were interesting - we didn't have any easy way to link against a subset of the src/ files (all previous uses of the util functions have been through

lines, ecdf and colors
Hi. I'm trying to plot two ecdf's on the same graph using two different colors. I can plot using the same color, but it doesn't work when I change colors? Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help. x <- c(0.80, 0.83, 1.89, 1.04, 1.45, 1.38, 1.91, 1.64, 0.73, 1.46) y <- c(1.15, 0.88, 0.90, 0.74, 1.21) plot(ecdf(x)) # it works without col='blue', but doesn't

Displaying Equation With Numerator and Demomenator On A Plot...
Is there a way to display something like the quadratic equation, i.e. with a numerator and demonator on a plot? I think there is a way to create the equation in Latex, but wasn't sure if this format would translate to plotting. \begin{equation} ? x = \frac{b +/- sqrt(b^2 - 4*a*c)}{2*a} \end{equation} ? My searched turned up the following:

problem with heatmap.2 in package gplots generating non-finite breaks
I have written a wrapper for heatmap.2 called heatmap.w.row.and.col.clust which auto-generates breaks using breaks<-round((c(seq(from=(-20 * stddev), to=(20 * stddev))))/20, digits = 2) #(stddev in this case = 2.5) This has always worked well in the past but now I am getting an error that non-finite breaks are being generated. Drilling down, it seems that my wrapper is generating finite

plotting the following data
Hi, I need to plot $time on the x-axis and $f on the y-axis for the following data: time f 0h 0.00 0.5h 0.54 1h 1.15 2h 2.33 4h 1.57 6h 2.19 18h 1.45 24h 1.79 I want the order of the data-points to be retained and the x-coordinates of each of the 8 data-points to be equally spaced. however, using plot($time, $f) completely scrambles the ordering of the points. Labelling boxplot with fivenumber summary
I am very new to R so forgive me if this seems basic but I have done extensive searching and failed to come up with the answer for myself. I am trying to label a boxplot I have created with the values for the median, upper and lower quartiles and max and min values. I have been unable to do this or find anything on the net to say how it might be done. Is this possible and if so how? Regards,

Asterisk 'losing' upstream provider registration state during small network outages.
Now that I have most everything actually working I've noticed that about every 3-4 days on average..... and at worse... Once a day my asterisk box seems to lose it's registered state with our sip provider and no longer will take any incoming calls. The caller simply hears a fast busy (reorder) If I do a reload at the command prompt all is well for another few days..... What I'm
