subsetting tables
Hi guys, one of the questions where you need a real human instead of a search engine, so it would be great if you could help. I have a matrix of z-scores which I would like to filter, sometimes columnwise, sometimes rowwise. Data looks like this: Allstar hsa.let.7a hsa.let.7a.1 hsa.let.7a.2 2 0.87 0.79 -0.57 1.07 3 0.67 -1.14 -0.78 -0.95 4

Also there are some new tools arriving in libguestfs upstream in the current development branch

libguestfs 1.14 update for Fedora 16
I would like to put libguestfs 1.14 (the next stable branch) into Fedora 16. There should be no changes required in other packages at all, since libguestfs is API and ABI compatible for all releases, forever. Nor should users know the difference (except new features). But it's software, and we don't have a formal proof, so there could be bugs ... The release notes here cover the major

Looking for help on two issues with Rails 2.1 and RSpec 1.14
I have specs that ran fine in Rails 2.02/RSpec 1.13 that are failing on Rails 2.1/RSpec 1.14. There is one problem and one issue: problem: sometimes (but not always) I get a NoMethodError referencing a has_many association issue: in helper specs, instance variables don''t get set unless the HelperModule is included. Using the preferred helper.<method> I can''t seem to

Cannot print to cups 1.14 from Windows 2000 SP2 using samba 2.2.3a
Hi! Well, since I don't get IPP to work, I've also tried to setup the printer using samba 2.2.3a. With Samba I get a little farther, however I still cannot print. When I setup a new printer in the printer wizard of Windows 2000 SP2, I selected "Name" and pressed "Next" to get the network browser. There I see the setup printer queues just fine. I then selected the

Help interpreting output of Rprof
Hello there, I am not quite sure how to interpret the output of Rprof (in the following the output I was staring at). I was poking around the web a little bit for documentation but without much success. I guess if I want to figure out what takes so long in my code the 2nd table $by.total and the total.pct column (pct = percent) is the most helpful. What does it mean that [ or [.data.frame is

Labelling boxplot with fivenumber summary
I am very new to R so forgive me if this seems basic but I have done extensive searching and failed to come up with the answer for myself. I am trying to label a boxplot I have created with the values for the median, upper and lower quartiles and max and min values. I have been unable to do this or find anything on the net to say how it might be done. Is this possible and if so how? Regards,
