P2Vs seem to require a very robust Ethernet
Now that we can gather diagnostic info, I think I know why our P2Vs kept failing last week. Another one just died right in front of my eyes. I think either the Ethernet or NFS server at this site occasionally "blips" offline when it gets busy and that messes up P2V migrations. The RHEV export domain is an NFS share offered by an old Storagetek NAS, connected over a 10/100 Ethernet.

Help with dump/restore
...I know EL5 and C5 are the same, and the level of support I get from RH is actually less effective and slower than resources such as this list, I'm looking here, first. Up to this point I was backing up to a USB-mounted external 1 TB hard drive. I was using a script containing: /sbin/dump -0v -z2 -f /media/usb_drive/dump0 /home I played with restore on that, and it tested fine. For the tape, I thought it would be nice to add /var/log (should have done it before, but didn't think of it...) Trying to adapt the knowledge to a tape library... /sbin/dump -0 -v -z2 -f /dev/nst0 /var/...

NUT support for the new Tripp Lite AVR700U (USB 3024) under OpenWrt?
...or this part? But there are several things about the readings with the 2.7.4 usbhid-ups driver with this UPS that doesn't make sense: .- the frequency here should be around 60Hz, but it reports 6010 or 5990 or so. I suppose a 100 division is missing .- the input/output and battery voltages are 0V, etc. I have built some OpenWrt firmware images, but mostly customizing stuff, I don't have experience integrating a new version of a solution, I would have to keep investigating to avoid bricking my test device. I would prefer to mod the currently running files/libraries, if possible. FWIW,...

upsimage/upsstats: 3phase support
...ssibility to give a full path to upsstats/upsimage. This comes in handy when you call the CGI stuff by SSI from a parsed HTML page and want links to go to that HTML page and not the CGI:s directly. And possibly other uses. - upsimage: * Fixes the battery.voltage graph. It was hardcoded to 40V or something, looked outright ridiculous with 420V battery voltage ;) * Improves logic on figuring out min/max values to cope with 400V nominal. And probably more stuff that I have fixed while stumbling around in the code. To fix before commiting: * There are a couple of FIXME:s that I stu...

APC SmartUPS 1500 (USB) does not report OL/OB state
...meouts again. I tried different values as well as set the pollonly flag - no luck. Setting any pollinterval value above default 2 resulted in missed power state change reports (but still showing UPS data values). Yes, I see using upsc that UPS is OL (or OL CHRG if it was charging) and input voltage 0V. With pollinterval=4 it reported battery state *sometimes* but could miss the opposite transition, etc. Was unreliable, in short. As a last resort, I set pollinerval=0, and wow, it now reports power state transitions almost instantly and works reliable. Can't say if it will give me timeouts (2...
