thanks, and a question about week day scheduling
...d it, and I''ve been very happy. Thanks much for this very helpful piece of software. My question: I have a worker scheduled cron-style as follows: :notification_worker: :notify: :trigger_args: 0 0 8 * * 1,3,5 * I.e., I want to run this particular worker method at 8:00a on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. According to the logs, however, this worker ran at 8:00a this morning, which happens to be Saturday! I have checked the system date, and it is correct. Am I misinterpreting the weekday numbering convention (0 = Sun, 1 = Mon, 2 = Tue, etc., like cron), or did I f...

Grouping together a time variable
..." "00:05:22" "00:05:22" [23] "00:05:28" "00:05:44" "00:05:54" "00:06:54" "00:06:54" "00:07:10" "00:08:15" "00:08:26" What I am trying to do is group the data into one hour increment. So 5:01-6:00am, 6:01-7:00am, 7:01-8:00a, and so forth. However, I'm not sure if there's a simple route to do this in R or how to do it. Crazy stuff in latest CVS HEAD
Hi - I've just been testing out the latest CVS HEAD (as of about 10:00a EDT today). I'm getting some weird errors. Calls from one sip phone to another have OK audio in one direction and highly scrambled audio in the other direction. The console shows this error repeated ad nauseum during each call: Jul 18 16:08:03 ERROR[22941]: utils.c:509 tvfix: warnin...

Factor levels
Dear R-users, I have found this not-so-recent post in the archives - http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/devel/00a/0291.html - while I was looking for a particular way to reorder factor levels. The question addressed by the author was to know if the read.table function could be modified to order the levels of newly created factors "according to the order that they appear in the data file". Exactly...

Reversing x-axis
Dear all, I'm making a system to create a star-chart, and I have encountered one of the intuitive and clearly thoughtful conventions that are so common in astronomy :-J... Well, the point being, I have to reverse the x-axis. I figured, I might just set xlim=rev(range(x)). Do e.g. > x <- 0:5 > y <- (0:5)^3 > plot(x, y) > plot(x, y, xlim=rev(range(x))) The problem is that here

Repeated measures regression
Hi List, Just wondering if there is such a thing as repeated measures regression, and if so, can R do it? I have repeated measurements of 10 individuals over a 45 day period, and I would like to regress their daily activity time against a daily environmental temperature. If I do so using averages of activity time I find a significant negative correlation, but I worry that because I have

So I looked up the archive and saw one posted by Prof. Thomas Lumley on lme as follows: http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/00a/0913.html So I changed my formula as this: a <- gamm(readmission~s(volume,fx=F), random=list(physician=~1),family=binomial) However I still get an error message saying "Lapack routine dgesv : system is exactly singular". Can anyone suggest a better way to deal with my problem. P...
