Hello, I've got a problem with printing on a Windows 2K box. Printing from that box to a samba server via the normal print mechanism works fine. The problem is when the person needs to print to a lpt port. The capture succeeds, but when the file is copied to lpt2 it never gets printed. I am using Samba PDC with OpenLDAP2 and smbldap-tools. As part of my logon.bat, I call a script called ifmember.exe. This script can list out the groups a user is a member of. It is reporting that my root user is a member of the group 'engr.' I don't know if this is a bug with ifmember.exe or if it's an issue in Samba or in LDAP. Here is some relevant data:

I am running samba 2.2.6 and cups 1.1.16. I can't get cupsaddsmb to complete successfully. I'm at an end here, I can't think of anything else to try after 2 weeks of searching the web. It copies the drivers to the print$ share directory, however the SetPrinter command fails on the rpcclient command and it returns with an NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL error. At the SetPrinter failure, it
