Hello folks I am encoding music to ogg vorbis format for the first time. From what i have researched, ogg vorbis is natively a vbr format. Also encoding using the -q switch is encouraged instead of specifying a bitrate through -b. I am running Ventrilo client 3.0.4 through WINE 1.1.15 (built in wine git to use WoW stability patch). Sound works fine, program starts and I can hear everyone and they can hear me. Then at random intervals Ventrilo either stops working (incoming and outgoing sound no longer happens) or crashes to desktop.
