Stacking several vectors from the list
Hi everybody, I'm working on the very messy data, I have tried to clean it up in SAS and SAS/IML but there is not enough info on how to handle certain things in SAS so I have turned to R. The thing itself should be rather simple, so i was wondering if someone could help me out. The original .csv has ([1] 7138 6338 ) dimensions with funds with the corresponding dates and observations for each

polr in MASS
Hi, I am trying to test the proportional-odds model using the "polr" function in the MASS library with the dataset of "housing" contained in the MASS book ("Sat" (factor: low, medium, high) is the dependent variable, "Infl" (low, medium, high), "Type" (tower, apartment, atrium, terrace) and "Cont" (low, high) are the predictor variables

Package ‘orcutt’ bug?
Hello~   Did any one have used the package 'orcutt' ?   I find that it can not work smoothly in a single variable regression. I use the example following, it function very well.   But when I regress "cons" on "price" (use the "reg1<-lm(cons~price+income+temp)") , then  use "reg11<-cochrane.orcutt(reg1) ". creating a factor
Hi list, I'd like to make a factor with seven 1s and three 2s using the factor() function. That is, 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 2 2 I will then bind this factor to the matrix below using cbind.data.frame(). 0.56 0.48 0.22 0.59 0.32 0.64 0.26 0.60 0.25 0.38 0.24 0.45 0.56 0.67 0.78 0.97 0.87 0.79 0.82 0.85 I am new to R and have been using various manuals and have made many attempts without

Dear R Users,i am very new to R. I want your help on an issue regarding distance matrix and cluster analysis i had discharge data of 4 rivers(a,b,c,d) in 4 vectors each having 364 values > dput(qmu)structure(list(a = c(0.26, 0.25, 0.25, 0.25, 0.24, 0.23, 0.22, 0.21, 0.21, 0.21, 0.2, 0.19, 0.19, 0.19, 0.19, 0.18, 0.18, 0.18, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17, 0.17,

ordered factors in tree package - bug?
I am new to R, and didn't know which list to send this to, since it is a bug report about a package, not about core R... I have created a regression tree using 4 predictors: 3 are unordered (binary) predictors, and the last is a date (integer), which I declare to be an ordered factor. However, the tree treats the date as if it were un-ordered, splitting into non-consecutive subsets. My code

Converting array to matrix
Hi, I have a 3d array as below, I want to make this array to a matrix of p=50(rows) and n=20(columns) with the coverage values . The code before the array is: library(binom) Loading required package: lattice pi.seq<-seq(from = 0.01, to = 0.5, by = 0.01) no.seq<-seq(from = 5, to = 100, by = 5) cp.all = binom.coverage( p = pi.seq, n = no.seq , conf.level = 0.95, method = "exact")

Git - do I have the right repository?
Question: I just uploaded the git development repository, and upon building it, I note that on the bcmxcp driver, it would appear that the git tree is actually older than what is in the 2.7.1 release: Git: Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.28 (2.7.1) RS-232 communication subdriver 0.20 2.7.1: Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.26 (2.6.5-3857M) RS-232 communication subdriver 0.20
