Queue Log Analyser Build into IPS 0.123
IPSwitchBoard Version 0.123 - 17 July 2005 * Queue Analysis has been added to IPSwitchBoard. In order to properly manage ACD queues, it is important to be able to keep track of details of call setups and teardowns in much greater detail than traditional call detail records provide. In order to support this, extensive and detailed tracing of every queued call is stored in the queue log,

assign index to colnames(matrix)
Hello, I’m trying to follow the syntax of a script from a journal website. In order to create a regression formula used later in the script, the regression matrix must have column names “X1”, “X2”, etc. I have tried to assign these column names to my matrix ScoutRSM.mat using a for loop, but I don’t know how to interpret the error message. Suggestions? Thanks, Paul

ROracle: cannot insert several columns
Hi all, I've been playing with ROracle (0.5-9) for a few days and I can't wrap my mind around this one. Here's a sample of my R (2.4.0) session. my.df<-data.frame(prd_id=c(123,456),vol_factor=c(.123,.456)) > my.df prd_id vol_factor 1 123 0.123 2 456 0.456 > library(ROracle) Loading required package: DBI >

binomial logistic regression question
Dear subscribers, I am looking for a function which would allow me to model the dependent variable as the number of successes in a series of Bernoulli trials. My data looks like this ID TRIALS SUCCESSESS INDEP1 INDEP2 INDEP3 1 4444 0 0.273 0.055 0.156 2 98170 74 0.123 0.456 0.789 3 145486 30 0.124

Create a time interval from a single time variable
I am trying to set up a data set for a survival analysis with time-varying covariates. The data is already in a long format, but does not have a variable to signify the stopping point for the interval. The variable DaysEnrolled is the variable I would like to use to form this interval. This is what I have now: ID Age DaysEnrolled HAZ WAZ WHZ Food onARV

Plotting Data Frame
Dear R community members, I think I am asking a very simple question, but I really looked up in the faqs and manuals and found nothing helpful. I am trying to plot a data frame with the following structure (this is just a small extract): glo conc odor line series X1 X2 X3 X4 X5 X6 X7 X8 X9 X10 X11 X12 X13 1 0 AIR LN1 UP -0.488

Combinations and joint probabilities
Dear R helpers   Suppose I have two sets of ranges (interest rates) as   Range 1 : (7 – 7.50, 7.50 – 8.50, 8.50 – 10.00) with respective probabilities 0.42, 0.22 and 0.36.     Range II : (11-12, 12-14, 14-21) with respective probabilities 0.14, 0.56 and 0.30 respectively.     My problem is to form the combinations of these ranges in a decreasing order of joint probabilities. It is assumed that

write.table problem
Dear R helpers, I have been using the loadings function from the multiv library and I get the typical output (see below). When I try to export these results to a file using a write.table() I get the following error message "Error in as.data.frame.default(x[[i]], optional = TRUE) : can't coerce loadings into a data.frame" Any idea why write.table is doing that and any

Random intercept model with time-dependent covariates, results different from SAS
Dear list-members I am new to R and a statistics beginner. I really like the ease with which I can extract and manipulate data in R, and would like to use it primarily. I've been learning by checking analyses that have already been run in SAS. In an experiment with Y being a response variable, and group a 2-level between-subject factor, and time a 5-level within-subject factor. 2

Drawing multiple line plots
Hi All: Greetings, and best wishes from the festive times here at Kolkata, India -- the time of Durga Puja celebrations. I seek your advice as I try plotting lines for my data. The problem: I have created a dataframe that looks like this (name: myFrame): lowest second third fourth highest significance INAS 0.107 0.115 0.123 0.115 0.166 0.000 MMA 0.091 0.107 0.115

aggregate slow with variables of type 'dates' - how to solve
Dear all I use aggregate with variables of type numeric and dates. For type numeric functions, such as sum() are very fast, but similar simple functions, such as min() are much slower for the variables of type 'dates'. The difference gets bigger the larger the 'id' var is - but see this sample code: dts <- dates(c("02/27/92", "02/27/92",

sorting a data.frame (df) by a vector (which is not contained in the df) - unexpected behaviour of match and factor
Dear R colleagues, consider my data.frame named "df" with 3 columns - being level, prevalence and sensitivity - and 7 rows of data (see dump below). df <- structure(list(level = structure(1:7, .Label = c("0", "1", "10", "100", "1010", "11", "110"), class = "factor"), prevalence = structure(c(4L, 2L, 3L,

how to save the R script itself into a rData file?
Hi all, As a part of work flow, I do a lot of experiments and save all my results into rData file... i.e. at the end of all my experiments, I do "save.image("experiment_name_with_series_number.rData")"... However, some times even with the rData files, I cannot remember the context where these data files were generated. Of course, I can make the R data file names and the R

Obtaining values from adfstat objects
Hi, I'm using the ADF.test function in the uroot package to obtain an adfstat-class object. I'm wondering how I can extract the values (test statistic, p value, etc.) from this class, since it doesn't seem to have usual values. I get the following summary, but I'm not sure how to do anything with these values -- how can I put the number into another variable? --------- ------ -

GLMM with poisson distribution (lme4)
Dear R-Users, I have a question to the GLMM via the lme4 package. I have 160 nest-boxes which are placed at 8 different localities. "Count" is the number of animals which were found inside the boxes during the observation time. The independent variables are factors which are supposed to influence the occurence of the animal. 1. Is the formula right like this? Here are my outcomes of

Syntax Error in Rcmd check on Windows
Dear R-developers, I am currently developing an R package called RLadyBug. When developing under Linux "R CMD check ." works fine without a warning. However, when I do "Rcmd check ." under Windows (version 2.4.0 and earlier) I get a ?syntax error" when checking the examples. This puzzles me somewhat, because a manual source("RLadyBug-Ex.R") on Windows works
