Test output from dispatch.cgi --- Rails 1.1
Something weird started happening to me right after the 1.1 came out. I have an app that has some ajax forms that I manipulate with RJS templates. Everything was working fine on my deployment server until Rails 1.1. It still works fine locally, but the ajax interaction just stopped working. Last night, with the help of FireBug (on of the best Firefox plugins ever), I noticed the problem. At

How to get back POSIXct format after calculating with hist() results
Hi, I have a casting/formatting question on hist.POSIXt: The histogram plot from POSIXct works perfect (with help of Prof. Ripley -thanks!). When processing the hist(plot=FALSE) output and then plotting the results over the x-axis (bins) coming from hist(), I lose the date/time labels, getting instead integers displayed. Trying to cast the $breaks with as.POSIXct gives silly results with

Driver macosx-ups failing on Yosemite
I think the high CPU usage was caused by the native OS X driver crashing and not working properly. The native driver was not sensing the UPS going on battery or any change in battery percentage. Unplugging the USB and then plugging it back again made the native driver come back up again properly. Restarting the macosx-ups driver seems to get back to normal CPU usage. I will monitor and see how it
