for a commandline way to extract the config variables that are actually being
used in a running instance. For example if I run testparm, it claims to offer a
dump of "service definitions" in the smb.conf. But it is not complete
when compared to smb.conf. Moreover, I can just read the smb.conf to get those.
I'd like to see the config extracted from a running instance, not from the
smb.conf file.

No I don't, but if you really want to see your entire smb.conf (which
will not help you), run 'testparm -v -s'
Then do what I asked you to do, post your smb.conf as on disk.
