[Samba] ADS mapping not working after patching
Hi,
Ive just patched Solaris 10 which has for some reason broken the samba config
The csw version of samba is being used (not sure if that will make any
difference) but after the patching the version changed (details below) and now
no-one can map their userid.
Basically, when someone tries to map through Windows explorer they get prompted
for a userid/password. After entering the Unix credentials which are correct it
comes back with a prompt but the username preceeded with DOMAINA\ so it looks
like the mapping file (in smb.conf below) isn't being read correctly.
Ive been through countless mailing lists to no avail so any assistance would be
appreciated.
--------------------------------------------------
Version that worked: VERSION: 3.6.14,REV=2013.05.09New version: VERSION:
3.6.25,REV=2016.04.16
The packages are:
application
CSWlibtdb1
libtdb1 - Samba client library, libtdb.so.1 Samba client library, libtdb.so.1
application CSWlibwbclient0
libwbclient0 - Samba client library, libwbclient.so.0
application
CSWsamba
samba - Tools to access a servers filespace and printers via SMB (server)
application
CSWsamba-client
samba_client - Client binaries for
samba

server signing = mandatory
log file = /var/opt/csw/samba/log/log.%m max log size =
50
map archive = no
[homes] writable = yes
browsable = no
Thanks.

Second thing, your smb.conf is borked, try reading this: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member Third thing, Solaris 10 is EOL fourth thing, Samba 3.6.x is EOL Rowland
