If you turn off a bridgehead server, the replication between sites stops, but as soon as the bridgehead server comes back, replication will start again. I think at the moment, this is as far as you can go, I don't think Samba has all the code that windows uses to maintain sites, try reading this: https://technet.microsoft.com/pt-pt/library/cc755994%28v=ws.10%29.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396 I 'think' a Microsoft DC can automatically upgrade to a bridgehead server if the original one goes down, but I don't think a Samba DC can. Thank very much you for the explanations!! I'm sorry for one more question... What is wrong in DCs in mode " full mesh topology" ? I don't understand why not... This link is to provide a replication link between DC1 & DC3, so if you wanted DC2 to replicate to DC3, it would use the same link. This means that if something is changed on DC2, it would replicate to DC1, which would replicate the change to DC3, then DC2 would also replicate the same change to DC3, this is a bit redundant.
