If someone comes up in the future with a third sync tool, we have the same content with minor changes for a third tool. Duplicate content = duplicate work. And in case of such a low frequent page, I'm sure it's getting outdated soon again - and then on two or more places. Regards, Marc

I know Osync works fine and when I get my second DC going I intend to use the Osync. I am using it elsewhere to retain ACL attributes and backup vital directories. It works and saves ACL when option is enabled. I have always read that UNISON does NOT support or maintain ACL attributes. But, I am very much a newbie when I get this "deep". IMHO. -- _______________________________ Bob Wooden of Donelson Trophy 615.885.2846 www.donelsontrophy.com [1] "Everyone deserves an award!!" Links: ------ [1] http://www.donelsontrophy.com

[Samba] Samba Wiki change suggestion
Hi, I use Unison everyday to keep my file servers synchronized, but I do have to rely on POSIX permissions because at the moment, Unison does not support ACL attributes. I'm on the Unison users mailing list too, so I'll make an inquiry about the future of Windows ACLs and report back with the answer from the Unison devs. Mike E.
