samba - May 2015 - Question about barrier=1 mount option

Greetings, All!

The wiki article
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_and_configure_file_shares_with_Windows_ACLs#Preparatory_work
suggests the use of "barrier=1" mount option, but it is not entirely
clear to
me, what partition should it be used on?
If I read the article carefully, and assume much, it seems it needs to be used
only on partition that holds TDB files. Is my assumption correct?

depends on your storage, power supplies and how much you care about the 
data - turn barriers only off then you *really* know what you are doing 
and how you can handle a possible and unexpected fallout

Thank you. I only really care for consistency of a DC. The user data have
sufficient backups in more than one place, both on the fly and on schedule.
