[Samba] Setup and configure file shares with Windows ACLs
Is it possible to set up file shares with Windows ACLs with Samba 3.6.9? Can you still configure them from Windows Computer management? I tried to follow this wiki: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_and_configure_file_shares_with_Windows_ACLs And I got myself sort of stuck. I am at the point where I can't seem to get the Security permissions to change. Whenever I try to apply the changes, it says: 1) "An error occurred while applying security information to: \\samba02\files\lost+found" - "Access is denied" 2) "An error occurred while applying security information to: \\samba02\files\lost+found" - "Element not found." Ultimately the "Element not found" seems to be the error that's causing the entire command to fail. The samba 3.6.9 is the stock CentOS package running on CentOS 6.5. And this server is a member of a domain hosted by a Samba 4.1.4 server. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Brian
