I've stumbled upon this message:

Which includes a patch to make user preloading in a RODC actually
work. I'm running SerNet Samba packages, version 4.1.11, and this patch
has not been applied. Is it blocked for some reason?

Hi, There wasn't any particular reason it was blocked. It just got bunched together with some other changes that never went in and so it got neglected as well. Which is somewhat unfortunate, because you weren't the first person to point it out. Re-proposing to the list with a minor change to the line wrapping as pointed out originally by Jelmer. Please review and push.
