Po lis 14 10:19:09 CET 2011 Hi all.Im stack on this problem. User Foo have permisions to read the file. User Bar have permisions to write the file. The file is table.xls and openning is with 2003 office. When user Foo open file then office say the file is read only.Fine. At same time user Bar open file and office say file is read only.Bad!! If only the user Bar open the file then the file is read/write.Fine. Then i setup: oplocks = no level2 oplocks = no locking = no And still if user Foo open the file smbstatus show the file is locked and DENY_WRITE and oplocks none. I need solve this problem how to share office files for write if some users have this file open for reading in same time. system Debian GNU/Linux 6.0 amd64 , smb 3.5.11 Thanks.
The standard behaveour of xls-files: If someone have a msoffice file open another user only will have the right to read it, no writing at all or at the same time. You cannot change this Microsoft standard (working on a file at the same time). ----------------------------------------------- EDV Daniel M?ller Leitung EDV Tropenklinik Paul-Lechler-Krankenhaus Paul-Lechler-Str. 24 72076 T?bingen Tel.: 07071/206-463, Fax: 07071/206-499 eMail: mueller at tropenklinik.de Internet: www.tropenklinik.de ----------------------------------------------- -----Urspr?ngliche Nachricht----- Von: samba-bounces at lists.samba.org [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] Im Auftrag von Ludek Myska Gesendet: Montag, 14.
