[Samba] samba 3.0.2: Howto give a "normal" user the right to add a workstation
A write permission ACL to that user on the DN where you place workstations would suffice, I guess. -- Arturo Busleiman - [ i n t r a R e d e s s r l ] Piedras 264 - 2 A (C1070AAF) - Buenos Aires - ARGENTINA Te.: (54 11) 4342-0049 - http://www.intraredes.com/ mailto:arturo.busleiman@intraredes.com On Wed, 5 Nov 2003, Thorsten Mauch wrote:> Hi > I found that the "admin users" are gone away in Samba 3.0. [Samba] samba 3.0.2: Howto give a "normal" user the right to add a workstation
Hi I found that the "admin users" are gone away in Samba 3.0. The only to add worksations to my domain is to add the root user to my samba backend (ldap). I would prefer that "normal" user can do this and not have a root entry in my LDAP directory, specialy becuase i have more then one Domain. Is it possible to eneable a normal user to add workstation to the Domain ? Thanx Thorsten
