[Samba] INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in pid 5457 (3.0.0beta3)
By logging into a smbd server with the username "HAENGINEERS\KMR", we are able to cause a smbd panic every time. Other usernames ("HAENGINEERS\_TestME") work. The stack trace is below, full logs and smb.conf are available on request (don't want to saturate the list.) I can't post to bugzilla as I can't register a new account as my incoming mail is crippled by Sobig, et al hammering my mail server, so I'll be watching http://lists.samba.org/pipermail/samba/2003-August/thread.html for replies for the near future. -Tom ==============================================================[2003/08/26 12:59:26, 0] lib/fault.c:fault_report(37) INTERNAL ERROR: Signal 11 in pid 5457 (3.0.0beta3) Please read the appendix Bugs of the Samba HOWTO collection [2003/08/26 12:59:26, 0] lib/fault.c:fault_report(39) ==============================================================[2003/08/26 12:59:26, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(1462) PANIC: internal error [2003/08/26 12:59:26, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(1469) BACKTRACE: 23 stack frames: #0 smbd(smb_panic+0x14e) [0x81813be] #1 smbd [0x81716d6] #2 smbd [0x42029098] #3 smbd(__libc_realloc+0x288) [0x4207b1f8] #4 smbd(Realloc+0x7a) [0x8180a1a] #5 smbd [0x81af735] #6 smbd(make_server_info_info3+0x58d) [0x81b057d] #7 smbd [0x81ac727] #8 smbd [0x81a9685] #9 smbd [0x81b12d2] #10 smbd [0x80dea62] #11 smbd(ntlmssp_server_update+0xff) [0x80decff] #12 smbd(auth_ntlmssp_update+0x2a) [0x81b14aa] #13 smbd [0x809b83d] #14 smbd [0x809ba53] #15 smbd(reply_sesssetup_and_X+0x14b) [0x809bc6b] #16 smbd [0x80b6f19] #17 smbd [0x80b6fbe] #18 smbd(process_smb+0x1a7) [0x80b72c7] #19 smbd(smbd_process+0x1c1) [0x80b7cc1] #20 smbd(main+0x6bc) [0x81cc8bc] #21 smbd(__libc_start_main+0x95) [0x42017499] #22 smbd(chroot+0x35) [0x8071ab1]
