samba - Jul 2003 - Bug Concerning "configure" options in samba 3.0.0alpha23 - 3.0.0. beta3

Hello, according to your website, the bug tracking system is only for stable
releases, so i thought i'd better send a message here.
I hope this is ok.

When i run ./configure on SuSE linux 8 (x86) with the following options
"--with-smbmount --sbindir=/usr/sbin --bindir=/usr/bin
--sysconfdir=/etc/samba --mandir=/usr/share/man --datadir=/usr/share/samba
--localstatedir=/var/run/samba"

even though i have specified the "--sysconfdir=" part, this seems to
be
ignored in the makefile generation, so i have to manually edit Makefile and
put the correct path in (on suse 8 this is /etc/samba).
