samba - Jul 2003 - Required users

I am running Samba 3beta3 as a PDC with LDAP. I am confused as to which accounts
are required by a PDC.

I was under the assumption that it was like an NT domain: the administrator and
guest accounts were the only required accounts.

But when I create the accounts and try to do anything administrative with the
administrator account, I get an access denied.  It's not until a create a
"root" account do things seems to work.
