[Samba] samba 2.2.3a, 2.2.4pre and 3.0alpha17 and w2k clients
hi list, today i made again some experiements with samba and w2k sp2 and opera. the installationproblem (opera 6.00 german) can be solved - for me - with samba 3.0alpha17, but not 2.2.4pre (cvs 20020330). btw: with opera 6.01 this problem happens on no version. but with with 2.2.4pre and 3.0alpha17 i had the problem, that the logon-script get not executed on the w2k mashines? although it is named usr_logon.cmd, which is located in the netlogon-folder (browsable) and it is configured in smb.conf.? and the homedrive is the profiles directory not the homedirectory anymore. but the biggest problem i seem to have is, the w2k clients saves some data under "application data" in the profile (like some temp-files from filemaker professional 5.5 or the last opened files on ms office). this files get saved as any tmp files, like prd1A.tmp or prd7C.tmp and are different files (like msoffice data, ascii text-files or binary data. the next time the user logs on, he get a temporary profile, cause the tmp-file could not get loaded, but the all files in the profiles share are all 600 and all directories are 700. this problem happens on 2.2.3a, 2.2.4pre and 3.0alpha17.( nt acl support = no is implented) any ideas? greetings thomas ------------------------------------------------- This mail sent through encrypted https://webmail.tronicplanet.de
