The browsing you're speaking of is to the SWAT page. This is a seperate configuration from getting Samba up and running. SWAT is a web based system to manage Samba. You should read through the docs on how to setup SWAT. -- Brian ----- Original Message ----- From: san To: samba@lists.samba.org Sent: Thursday, March 28, 2002 6:40 AM Subject: [Samba] Smbstatus No Locked files After Installing Samba 2.2.3a, I am trying to browse from windows pc, using 192.168.0.3:901 but I am getting the err.msg page cannot be displayed , so i checked with smbstatus Samba version 2.2.3a Service Uid gid pid machine -------------------------------------------------- No Locked Files What i have to do? When you use a web browser on any port besides 80 you need to make sure that there is a http:// at the beginning of the URL. By the way, one has nothing to do with the other. No locked files means that samba has not locked any file. This is not an error message, it is not a bad thing. Page cannot be displayed means that your web browser cannot find a web page.
