samba - Mar 2002 - Have Problem

I want have some problem is how to set samba server, I use Linux7.2, but I 
don't know I use samba is what vesion, so can u tell me how to set samba 
server!!

If samba was installed by rpm, use rpm command to check it was installed and
the version is.
rpm -qa | grep samba

If it was installed from *.tar file, it is usually in /usr/local/samba
There are many docs on it how to set it up.

hi

i'm upgrade to samba 3. I have problem with symbol "?".
for example i can't create files with names which contains ?. also smbclient
cant access directories(with symbol ?) in ms windows shares.
how can i solve this problem?
