Dunno if this is an XP issue or a Samba or what... When I map a drive... I cannot "store" settings for printers.. for instance--if I select our HP 4550 color laser, from a print menu, and click "Properties" to tell it "ok--this is on labels, manual feed, set the color options thus" and click "OK" it just resets to the defaults. I cannot store settings (there are nifty "i" buttons everywhere that tell me I don't have the perms to do so. How, nifty.. :) Anywho... I'm set as the printer admin, I've set the printer dirs as 777 (as a test) and have no idea why I can't do this. I used to be able to do this on earlier versions of Samba, however (2.0.7, which doesn't play nicely with XP). Any ideas? Thanks, guys! Glenn --- Glenn E.
