In my site when the machine name is double clicked it shows the shares but prompts a password to map/open the share. Samba server is in the same domain as the machines i check. Other machine(windows) can be accessed without a password being retyped. Samba version is 2.2.3 and winbind is setup. Any hints as of how to know whether winbind is working properly.
