hi. I was wondering if it was possible to run samba against a slave LDAP server. It seems to authenticate(read-only) fine, but when I try to modify the db (via smbpasswd), it just hangs when connecting to a slave which refers it to the master. pdb_set_nt_passwd: NT hash non NULL overwritting ? pdb_set_lanman_passwd: LM hash non NULL overwritting ? StartTLS issued: using a TLS connection ldap_open_connection: connection opened ldap_connect_system: Binding to ldap server as "cn=admin,o=linuxpowered,c=us" ldap_connect_system: succesful connection to the LDAP server ldap_search_one_user: searching for:[(&(uid=natea)(objectclass=sambaAccount))] Setting entry for user: natea when connecting to the master ldap server it takes a split second to set the password .. thanks nate

The patch for this has been posted once, just not intergrated.
