I have downloaded the 2.2.3a release via CVS and have a problem with the configure script. On IRIX 6.5.14m with the IRIX cc compiler I get a failure at the "checking configure summary" stage. The failure logged in config.log is: /usr/include/stdio.h, Line = 53 The indicated declaration has an invalid combination of type specifiers. typedef int ssize_t; ^ I note that confdefs.h contains "#define ssize_t int", which is what is causing the error. If I run on another 6.5.14m system which has the gcc compiler it is OK. Are there any IRIX gurus out there who can explain (and preferably offer a fix for) this? I had thought that IRIX was one of the platforms which was well supported for SAMBA. Phil. --------------------------------------- Phil Chambers (postmaster@exeter.ac.uk) University of Exeter
