Hello, I am running a small network, Win., FreeBSD (Unix), & Macs., administering through SWAT. Needing to run an intranet I installed an Apache 1.3 HTTP server running in standalone mode. Now I have lost the ability to access SWAT through the http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:901 port. Guess it requires some special configuration of the server - SWAT runs in inetd mode, will this cause a conflict? would the two servers ( I presume) run together or do I need to set up virtual hosting. I am sure someone has been faced w/ this problem before & can advise. Thanks -- Joe --
Seems strange, I've run swat and apache side by side for ages with no issues. Are you using inetd or xinetd? Which ports is Apache listening on 80 or other ports as well? Send your httpd.conf, inetd.conf (or xinetd.conf), smb.conf and your /etc/services file and I'll have a look through them for you if you'd like. ---- Seri ---- -----Original Message----- From: samba-admin@lists.samba.org [mailto:samba-admin@lists.samba.org] On Behalf Of Joseph Maxwell Sent: 23 December 2001 15:57 To: samba@lists.samba.org Subject: SWAT conflicts w/ Apache 1.3 HTTP server??? Pl. ignore - seems that the http://hostname:901 is acceptable but not the http://IP#format:901 is not Joseph Maxwell wrote:> Hello, > > I am running a small network, Win., FreeBSD (Unix), & Macs., > administering through SWAT.
