Hey all, I just was wondering if there are any issues I should be aware of before moving Win2k and XP into my Samba loop? I have read the docs available but have found nothing Win2k or XP specific. Thanks in advance, chuck Chuck's Top 10 Things to Remember and Think about! ======================================================10. Please return stewardess to original upright position. 9. I take it that either no one has a clue or there are no known issues regarding win2k and XP in a samba environment except what is in the docs. chuck ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Williams" <hosting.mailing.list.account@acnshosting.com> To: <samba@lists.samba.org> Sent: Monday, December 17, 2001 2:21 PM Subject: Moving Win2k into the Samba system> Hey all, > > I just was wondering if there are any issues I should be aware of before > moving Win2k and XP into my Samba loop? One thing Chuck if you are using ADS - you can only address Global Groups using Samba. All those other types of nested groups ADS uses are inaccessible (which keeps things simple anyway). -----Original Message----- From: Charles Williams [mailto:hosting.mailing.list.account@acnshosting.com] Sent: 18 December 2001 10:23 To: Charles Williams; samba@lists.samba.org Subject: Re: Moving Win2k into the Samba system I take it that either no one has a clue or there are no known issues regarding win2k and XP in a samba environment except what is in the docs. chuck ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charles Williams" <hosting.mailing.list.account@acnshosting.com> To: <samba@lists.samba.org> Sent: Monday, December 17, 2001 2:21 PM Subject: Moving Win2k into the Samba system> Hey all, > > I just was wondering if there are any issues I should be aware of before > moving Win2k and XP into my Samba loop?
