Same here. There goes my quick reference... at least Google has cached copies and a better search! I queried the name servers and it looks like this site may be hosted on a cable or DSL system which doesn't allow static IP addresses. It's possible that the DHCP and the dynamic DNS fell out of sync. All of this is just a guess based on the name server results. We would be happy to host the site. I think we know how popular that site is, hence why it can be a slow-loader at times. It would cost me a $FORTUNE$ with the price I pay per MB! I wonder if voip-info would let anyone 'snake' the site for backup? Who is the authority for that site? Voip-info is back up -- in-spite of Murphy's law. This was phase I (install latest version of O/S) of an upgrade to improve performance and functionality. Hopefully with Phase II we will see much better performance and new functions. For those that asked, the primary voip-info-org sponsor: www.commpartners.us provides a dedicated server, bandwidth and hosting in their Las Vegas data center. Its slow not for any lack of resoruces, but because the software used is rather resource intensive. Jim James H. The thread started due to scheduled maintenance of the server, which scared a lot of Asterisk users. The wiki is safely managed and hosted by James H. Thompson and CommPartners. As one of the initial contributors, I feel proud about the fact that the wiki has grown into that level of the importance for the community :-) /Olle ---- Astricon Europe, Madrid June 15-17 - where the Asterisk community meets http://www.astricon.net/europe/ :: REGISTER TODAY!!!

Oh, I'm sorry. I must have missed the previous message where you specifically informed me not to use HTML. -----Original Message----- From: Dave Cotton [mailto:dcotton@linuxautrement.com] Sent: Tuesday, March 14, 2006 10:35 AM To: Asterisk Users Mailing List - Non-Commercial Discussion Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Voip-Info On Tue, 2006-03-14 at 10:21 -0700, Douglas Garstang wrote:> Is it just me or is the voip-info web site down right now? Douglas Garstang schrieb:> Is it just me or is the voip-info web site down right now?I was experiencing problems accessing voip-info, too. But i guess the problems derived from accessing http://www.google-analytics.com, because i could see that voip-info was resolved rather quickly and after that stopped. Lynx seems to have to problems getting the html pages from voip-info :) Today everything seems to be back to normal. Greetings, Tobias
