samba - Nov 2001 - configure: error: summary failure. Aborting config

when Im trying to install samba it gives me this error message anybody have
any idea

it seems there are some libarys missing or missing source

There is a config log file (don't know the name 'cause I'm not
sitting at my linux box currently). There you will find some error messages with
details of the error(s).
