Hi I have a Btrieve5 database I want to migrate to a samba share for multiuser access on a RedHat server. The database currently runs on an NT workstation with multiple users accessing the data. When multiple users connect to the samba share the database becomes corrupted. How do I set my samba to duplicate all the attributes of the NT share including those necessary for record locking. cheers Mark ########################################################## Important Notice: This email is for the named recipient only. Mark, There are a number of us with this problem right now (I've made contact with about 4 others). The problem shows up with when running any application that has this "style" of database (ie. Access, Goldmine, btrieve, foxpro, etc...) At this point I would: 1) Make sure that all of your oplock setting are off (see man) If this does not work: 2) Revert back to an earlier version of samba. 2.0...?

We've done a lot of work on these issues, and I'd like to know about any remaining problems. Thanks, Jeremy.
