Can anyone please tell me how Windows (98/NT/2000) determines if a shared file is in use by another program? I'm trying to share an MS-Outlook database from a Samba server, but quite often Windows reports that the file is in use by another program/user and will not let me use it, even though I know it is not being used. What is the best way to troubleshoot/fix this? Incidentally, I'm running Samba 2.2.2 under IRIX 6.5 and couldn't be happier with it, save for this one minor problem (which probably isn't even Samba-related). Cheers...
